Temple Destinations

Kaylyn and Kurt have decided to be married in the Arizona temple. They are looking at March 13, 2010 right at the beginning of Spring Break. That is one week after his brother's wedding. The Saturday before that is the ANWA conference I have been helping to plan. The Saturday before that is available for us. Is that when Kaylyn will be taking out her own endowments? The Las Vegas temple would be half way so Kurt's family could attend too.

Engaged

Kaylyn loves Kurt! As parents we felt honored when Kurt asked for her hand in marriage. In today's world it was via Skype so we could still see each other's reactions.

Reception ideas

It's official! The question's been popped and the ring is on the finger. Now plans for the reception are being considered. What are the priorities? What else do we need to consider?
  1. place -- nice ambiance? church? back yard (but whose??)
  2. food to serve
  3. wedding cake
  4. photographs
  5. dress -- rent, buy, or borrow
  6. flowers -- fresh or silk
  7. invitations
  8. number of guests wedding; number to plan for reception
  9. decorations
  10. music
  11. slide show of bride and groom
  12. colors
  13. budget -- now things get serious. What is tradition? What is the most important to the bride? How do we have a nice "simple elegance" reception that we can afford?
